Intake System

Siemens / Mototron Deka 4 Fuel Injectors - These injectors flow 60 lbs/hr at 43.5 PSI (3 BAR) and up to 85 lbs/hr at 87 PSI! In addition, these units are high-impedance. Despite the high flow rate, these injectors provide a very linear flow rate even at low pulse widths allowing you to use a larger injector that normally possible without hurting idle and low speed driveability.

These injectors are able to function at high fuel pressures and don’t exhibit the high fuel pressure handling problems found with many other high flow high-impedance injectors. This makes these injectors very well suited to turbocharged and supercharged applications that see high fuel system pressures.

Static Flow Rate: 60 lb/hr @ 43.5PSI (300kPa) = 630cc/min / Coil Resistance: 12 Ohms / High Impedance / High-Z (No ECM driver modifications required) Gain: 0.11ms/mg, Offset: 0.055ms, Turn on time: 1.14ms @ 14VDC, Turn off time: 0.85ms @ 600KPa.

Throttle Body Intake - As part of the build, we really wanted to open up the breathing capabilities to take full advantage of the new Garrett 35 bb turbo. To do that, we are installing the new full 3" system developed with Engstrom / SQR. This system is really great and addresses some of the existing stock system restrictions. Since it sits higher than the stock system, you would either have to ditch the stock plastic intake cover or go with a custom piece like the CF one we will be install later.

So which one looks like it might breath better?

As you can see, the modified unit sits taller than the stock unit.

The intake is nicely polished with a smooth transition and fits perfectly to the stock throttle body.

Air Filter and Piping - With 4" intake piping and a 6" cone filter, there are no restrictions to this turbo getting as much air as it wants.

HKS SSQV Blow Off Valve - To make sure that excess boost is properly vented when the throttle plate snaps shut, we went with one of the best in the SSQV that looks good while not leaking under full boost.

Intake Pipe Sensors - Since we wanted to make sure everything was under control, you can see the various intake sensors installed on the intake pipe - intake temp sensor, boost presure sensor, and pressure activation switch for the NO2 sprayer.
