So It Begins
Here is a picture of the car before, as my wife says, I ruined a perfectly good car.

The car is being prepared for paint by being stripped back to just the bare body.

Once the car was fully prepared, it was loaded on the trailer and hauled to the painters.

Once the car was delivered to Henry at Auto Exact, they sanded and further prepared the entire body

Here is the man himself, Henry, at work on the car.

Once the sanding and body work was completed, the car was wheeled into the paint booth for a spray down.

Here are some of the body pieces like the bumper getting painted.

Here is the completed car straight out of the booth. The new color looks great and bridges the new generation of Saabs to the older ones.

Here is the complete car back home. Please note the custom intakes on the hood for hot engine temps to exit through and the M3 style mirror with integrated turn signals.

Fuel Door
Here is the custom billet fuel door that I have developed using the stock door mount that preserves the fuel door locking mechanism.

Rear Wing
Here is a little something special that I worked up in my spare time (ha!). Not be satisfied with your ordinary Viggen rear wing, I lifted this one with adjustable pitch custom brackets. In this pic, you can also see the newly installed satellite radio antenna.

So, after working up the center triangle to support the wing, I was not really satisfied with the overall design and how it looked on the car. I made up a new piece that is more fitting on the car and is kinda medieval looking. Its kinda like a blade.

Rear Camera
Also, you might note something strange in the above photo other than the wing. I installed a rearward looking camera in the middle of the Saab emblem (aka sphincter cam). Since I am going to install a 7.5 inch flat panel screen in the dash, I might as well take full advantage of it.

Hood and Grills
I have re-done the stock grill and lower intake with stainless wire cloth. You might say, "Big deal, everyone and their brother does this." Yes, but you might notice that most actually use the aluminum mesh which does not give the same look and is not a strong. But, whatever, I did it because I wanted to.

Body Color Door Handles
A number of folks have asked for some shots of the car with the body color door handles installed. So, here they are. I personally like the handles body color rather than black.
