Exhaust

Garrett GT30R Turbo - The size of this turbo is perfect as it is not so big that there will be big lag, but it is bug enough to fill the big intake pipes and the intercooler with a huge turbo charge. Dual Ball Bearing GT30R Turbo assembly with T3 style housing with T3 inlet flange w/ 4 bolt GT 3.0" style exit. Very Good response turbo for 4 Cyl applications. This turbo has a flow capacity of about 500HP. This turbo would be the same as HKS GT3037. The GT30R turbine housings with 4 bolt exit are made out of ductile Ni-Resist iron (has a nickel content of about 38%). This material is much better at withstanding high exhaust gas temperatures than regular cast iron.

Turbine Housing A/R: 0.82, Wheel: 60mm w/ 84 trim

Compressor Housing A/R: 0.60, Wheel: 76.2mm w/ 56 trim

Exhaust Header - This is the custom exhaust header that we had made up to fit the new turbo and provide plenty of exit room for the hot engine gases. Also, with this new header and turbo, we will be using an external wastegate as opposed to the internal unit standard.

Exhaust Downpipe - We also installed a custom down pipe since we are using an external wastegate. While its only 3", it looks a lot larger than that..

JT 3" Full Exhaust - Here are some shots of the stock JT exhaust for the Viggen. I noticed that there were some nice improvements in quality over the unit I installed on the 9000. the use of more stainless was also an added benefit.
