One of my goals during these build-ups, aside from increasing the car's performance potential, was to perform modifications that were in the range of the average do-it-yourself mechanic. Located in San Jose, California (aka, Silicon Valley), the first Saab I started tuning was a 1988 9000T. However, that was not my first introduction to Saabs. The '94 9000 Aero detailed on the web site was my 6th Saab, having also owned a 1978 99 GLE, 1988 9000T, 1988 900T Convertible, 1989 9000 CD, and 1995 9000 Aero. While there were certain aspects of my other cars that I enjoyed, I quickly came to realize that this car had real potential to be turned into something truly special. I can't remember what year it was, but that was when I was first bitten by the Saab bug. I remember the sound the car would make as the turbo kicked in and charged up the hill. I would always ask for a ride whenever I saw Bill. Anyway, the same enthusiasm that I had for the cars back then persists today and I show that in all the work I do.
